Toronto doesn't want you to visit!

From my small trip to Toronto this past weekend, I've come to the conclusion that Montreal is a much cooler city because it actually encourages people to go out late. Toronto on the other hand basically says that after 12:01, you can't park anywhere so go home. I'm serious. As a tourist not staying in a hotel, this is an absolute nightmare. What the fuck! Basically all the signs say that after 12:01 you need a permit to park... WHY?!?!?! So we called the city and they basically said that the only place to park in the city after 12:01 is in a city parking lot, of which there are not many... not only that! you have to be out of them by 7AM... unless of course you get a visitors parking permit from city hall but apparently those I've spoken to said it's impossible to get one. So in essence, you can't go out past midnight unless you go out by cab and if you are a tourist... you can't park anywhere overnight (hint hint hint) WE DON'T WANT YOU!!!! Maybe it's the taxi cab lobby... hmmm..... interesting.

I must say though, there is so much to do in Toronto... much more than in Montreal... so if for some strange reason you can't find anything to do... the problem is not the city... the problem is you!
